May Domino

and “The Other” coffee table by Ilse Crawford (which looks better in a room):

MOP

Anna introduced me to MOP, or Modern Organic Products. I first fell in love with the packaging design. Then, after doing some research, I learned that their curly hair products are well-reviewed. Now I own a trio of pretty-looking, yummy-smelling hair products. I don’t talk about beauty products much here, so I’m really posting about MOP for its lovely packaging design. If you’re interested in my results, contact me here.

I received the sweetest, awesomest (yeah I know that’s not a word) hand-written postcard yesterday from Anke, whose illustrations I have loved for quite some time now (some faves pictured above). It was really great to get something from an artist whose work I admire, and in turn, find out she was a DM reader! Bonus!

Rachel from Balahu emailed me about her company, Balahu, which promotes the arts in Philadelphia. Since I lived outside of Philly for 28 years, I feel very strongly about the Philly art community (I wish could have gone to the Art Star Craft Bazaar!). These are some beautiful glass pieces from artist Steve Hagan.
