flower sense

00/00/0000, 00:00 | Original Site: studio wellspring
the fabrics & textiles diva, tricia guild {also of designer’s guild fame}, explores the transformative power of blossoms in her new book flower sense. loaded with candy-colored photographs and innovative ideas for displaying flowers and plants in color-saturated city rooms, vintage environments, modern spaces and country settings, the book reflects guild’s vibrant and romantic approach to design. there’s a section on versatile and accessible arrangements for parties, as well as a practical chapter devoted to proper flower care and preparation for long lasting arrangements. i just love how well she blends contemporary with romantic!

produce design

00/00/0000, 00:00 | Original Site: studio wellspring
a brooklyn based design firm is rocking my world with their sleek and innovative design solutions ~ produce design is the result of 3 brilliant designers coming together for a common purpose: smart & functional interior architecture and custom furniture.

{one of the best pot racks i've seen ~ a reclaimed timber beam with pot hangers, a ledge for the lids and knife slots ~ i wouldn't be surprised if this became a mass-produced item someday soon, it's just that darn good}

{removable, adjustable, no-frills storage bins ~ perfect for crafters, collectors, chefs & kids}

{urban hip closet storage concept}

{this entry solution in a nyc penthouse is particularly wonderful}

New Chairs

00/00/0000, 00:00 | Original Site: Design Mind

In keeping with the chair theme for today I wanted to share this book on innovative new chair designs. I have always loved chair design and felt it is one of the signature pieces of furniture that has greatly benefited from modern design. It's sort of a litmus test of where modern design is at any period.
